Ronald O. Perelman
Chairman and CEO
Mr. Perelman is the founder of MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings Inc. and its sole owner. He began his career as an investor and financier in 1978 with the purchase of a stake in retail jewelry store chain Cohen-Hatfield Industries. Over the last 25 years, he has built MacAndrews & Forbes into a multibillion dollar diversified corporate enterprise.
In addition to his extensive business interests, Mr. Perelman is an active philanthropist who believes powerful results can be achieved when financial resources are leveraged with human resolve. He has established the Revlon/UCLA Women's Cancer Research Program, the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at New York University Langone Medical Center, the Ronald O. Perelman Heart Institute and the Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine, both at Weill Cornell. He serves on the Boards of Carnegie Hall, the University of Pennsylvania, New York University Langone Medical Center, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical Center, Columbia University, Ford's Theater, Apollo Theater Foundation and the Executive Board of Carnegie Hall. He is a member of the French Legion of Honor.
Mr. Perelman holds a BS in Economics and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in New York City and is the father of seven children.
Barry F. Schwartz
Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Administrative Officer
Barry F. Schwartz is the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Administrative Officer of MacAndrews and Forbes Holdings Inc. He joined the company in 1989, became general counsel in 1993, and assumed his current duties in 2007. He serves on the boards of Harland Clarke Holdings Corp., M & F Worldwide Corp., Revlon Consumer Products Corporation, Revlon, Inc., Scientific Games Corporation and TransTech Pharma, Inc. He also serves as Chief Executive Officer of M & F Worldwide Corp. Mr. Schwartz is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Kenyon College. He also serves as a Member of the Board of Visitors of the Georgetown University Law Center and the Board of Directors of the New York City Center.
Mr. Schwartz holds an A.B. cum laude from Kenyon College and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. He lives in New York and is the father of two children.
Paul G. Savas
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Paul G. Savas is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings Inc. He joined the company in 1994 as Director of Corporate Finance, served the Company in various positions of increasing responsibility and became Chief Financial Officer in 2007. He also serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of M & F Worldwide Corp. and sits on the boards of SIGA Technologies, Inc., Harland Clarke Holdings Corp., and TransTech Pharma, Inc.
Eric A. Rose, M.D.
Executive Vice President – Life Sciences
Eric Rose is an academic physician and entrepreneur with interests in drug discovery, biodefense, clinical evaluative research and health policy. Since 2007, he has been the Executive Vice President for Life Sciences at MacAndrews & Forbes and CEO of Siga Technologies, Inc., an investment of MacAndrews & Forbes that develops anti-viral drugs directed at potential agents of bioterror. He was appointed in 2007 to the National Biodefense Science Board, which advises the HHS Secretary on biodefense, influenza, and emerging diseases. In 2008, he assumed the chairmanship of the Department of Health Policy at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
