Harland Clarke, a leading provider of omni-channel marketing solutions, critical communications and payment solutions, today announced that Dan Singleton has been appointed to the new role of Chief Operating Officer for Harland Clarke Holdings (HCH), the parent company of Harland Clarke as well as the owner of Valassis, Scantron and RetailMeNot. Jana Schmidt has been named President of Harland Clarke, succeeding Singleton who served in the role for the past nine years.

Singleton joined Harland Clarke in 1988 after holding positions at two Fortune 1000 companies. He was named President and COO in 2008, with responsibility for financial results, strategy, sales and marketing, manufacturing, delivery and execution. He became Harland Clarke’s CEO in 2012.

With more than 27 years of sales, marketing, operations and client advocacy focus, Schmidt most recently served as the President of Harland Clarke, Intelligent Solutions. Prior to this role, she served as CEO of Ecova, where she led the global energy and sustainability management company. Schmidt also has extensive senior leadership experience at Harland Clarke, having previously served as Harland Clarke’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing before her time at Ecova. She led the organization’s nation-wide sales and marketing efforts, in addition to running Harland Clarke’s Marketing Services division.
