EFILM, a division of Deluxe Entertainment Services, Inc, will be returning to the Sundance Film Festival in 2019 to once again support emerging creators at the premier event for independent filmmaking. A longtime provider of color finishing post-production for projects screening at the annual festival held in Park City, Utah, EFILM is proud to have supplied color services on four films in the 2019 festival line-up: “After the Wedding,” directed by Bart Freundlich, with Julio Macat serving as DP and EFILM’s Mitch Paulson as colorist; “Relive,” directed by Jacob Estes, with Sharone Meir serving as DP and EFILM’s Skip Kimball as colorist; “To The Stars,” directed by Martha Stephens, with Andrew Reed serving as DP and EFILM’s Tom Reiser as colorist; and “Hala” directed by Minhal Baig with Benjamin Dell serving as DP.
Additionally, EFILM along with Coca-Cola Regal Films are co-hosting an event to celebrate the art of filmmaking and emerging storytellers at Sundance 2019. The event is an extension of EFILM’s on-going partnership with Coca-Cola Regal Films for their annual program that provides students from partnered film schools across the U.S. the opportunity to create a 30-second co-branded short film that highlights the magic of the movie-going experience. Finalists receive funding, mentorship, and resources from the program including color finishing services from EFILM. The other program technical partners include RED Digital Cinema and ZEISS who provide equipment for production and prizes. The program grand prize winner will be announced at CinemaCon in April 2019 and their short film will be screened ahead of films at Regal theatres nationwide.
